I am a counsellor and psychotherapist with extensive international experience, having lived and worked in diverse locations including Hong Kong and Quebec, Canada. My time living abroad has fueled my passion for travel, language learning, and cultural exchange, helping me to develop a deep understanding of the varied ways people experience life. I enjoy connecting with individuals from all walks of life and am committed to exploring and understanding each person’s unique story.
Professionally, I have volunteered with the Samaritans in Hong Kong and worked as a practice coordinator in a mental health service. These roles, alongside my personal counselling journey navigating grief, OCD, and anxiety, have strengthened my belief in the importance of accessible mental health support and the positive impact of early intervention.
I take an integrative approach to counselling, tailoring my methods to meet the individual needs of each client. My work is grounded in the person-centred approach — focusing on congruence, empathy, and unconditional positive regard — to foster strong, meaningful therapeutic relationships. I also integrate Gestalt techniques, paying close attention to how emotions are stored in the body and how connecting mind and body can support healing.
Additionally, I have conducted research on Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs), gaining insight into evidence-based strategies for supporting individuals who experience these challenges.
I am passionate about mental health support for everyone regardless of race, age and social or cultural barriers. Life presents challenges to us all, and I am dedicated to guiding and supporting you through whatever you may be facing.
