I’m Jen - a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, registered member of the BACP and I support adults and couples. I’m passionate about helping people find clarity, meaning, and practical tools to navigate life’s challenges.
Having lived and worked in diverse locations including Hong Kong and Quebec, Canada, I've fostered a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and the many ways people experience and navigate life. I enjoy connecting with individuals from all walks of life and I am committed to understanding each person’s unique story.
I understand the unique challenges and rewards of moving to a new place without an established support network, and how transitions, anxiety, or loneliness can affect your identity and belonging. Whether you are adjusting to life in your new home, relocating, or navigating any life transition - I can support you with the complex feelings that may arise.
Being an integrative counsellor allows me to adapt my approach to meet your individual needs and help you gain a greater sense of clarity, resilience, and wellbeing. Some of the approaches I use are: Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gestalt, Mindfulness-based therapy (MBCT) and Psychodynamic therapy.
I have conducted research on Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviours (BFRBs), giving me evidence-based insights into supporting individuals experiencing these challenges (e.g. nail biting, hair pulling / trichotillomania, skin pulling / dermatillomania, cheek or lip biting and teeth grinding).
I understand that seeking support can feel daunting, and finding the right therapist is essential. I create a welcoming and supportive environment based on respect, empathy, and trust, where you are in control of your own therapeutic process. Sessions are shaped by what you bring and what you want to explore. Whether you are navigating life-changing events, personal challenges, or emotional distress, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore feelings and work toward healing in a way that feels comfortable for you.
